For the third year running, customer owned banks have dominated the Australian rankings of the Forbes World’s Best Banks list.
Beyond Bank Australia, Heritage Bank, Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent Building Society have taken out the top 4 spots, with Great Southern Bank in 6th and People’s Choice Credit Union rounding out the top 11.
Forbes published its fourth annual World’s Best Banks, in conjunction with market research firm Statista. Instead of looking at balance sheets and profit and loss statements, Statista surveyed more than 45,000 customers for their opinions on their current and former banking relationships.
Banks were rated on general satisfaction as well as key metrics such as trust, fees, digital services and financial advice.
Australia’s customer owned banking institutions certainly know a thing or two about keeping customers happy, and we’d like to give a huge congratulations to each member who made the list.
